Admissions Timeline

The application window for the 2025-2026 school year has closed. We are no longer accepting applications for the coming year. Applications for the 2026-2027 school year will open in November 2025.

Application Status Notification

Current applicants will receive email notifications on Friday, February 28th, after 4pm. If you do not receive an email immediately, please note that results will be viewable in the Choose Dallas ISD parent dashboard at 4pm. 

  • If you receive an admissions offer you have until 11:59 PM on March 17th to accept or decline the offer. If you take no action the system will mark your application as declined. 
    • We understand this is a big decision, and we are offering campus tours if you would like to come back out to Travis TAG prior to accepting the admissions offer. The link will be sent out via Choose Dallas ISD on Monday, March 3rd in the morning. 
    • If you want to check your student's NNAT3 scores or essay scores the window for viewing is March 3rd through the 7th. The viewing is in person and requires an appointment, you will call our main office to make an appointment. Please be sure to bring an ID for check in. You will not be allowed to take pictures or make copies of the documents, you will only be able to view them. 
  • If you receive a waitlist notification it will also list what number you are on the waitlist. 
    • We will not offer campus tours for students on the waitlist. However, if later you receive the admission offer notification you will also be given the option of a campus tour at that time.

Beginning on Tuesday, March 18th we will know how many seats we still have available in each grade based on the acceptance and decline responses. We will then follow up with students on each grade level's waitlist accordingly. 

In April 2025, current families will complete an Intent to Return survey. With that information, we will update our 2025-2026 openings for all grades at that time.

Onboarding

For students who receive and accept the admissions offer, we will have our  onboarding events: 

  • Elementary School (4th) - Tuesday, March 25th 6:00-7:30 PM
  • Middle School (6th-8th) - Wednesday, March 26th 6:00-7:30 PM

Waitlist

From March 18th through the second week of school in August 2025, we will process applications from the grade level waitlists as needed to fill available seats. 

Students on the waitlist who receive an admissions offer have 3 school days to respond. If you would like a campus tour prior to accepting the offer please let us know within the 3 school days.
