It is with great joy I greet you as the principal of William B. Travis Academy/Vanguard for the Academically Talented and Gifted! I am thrilled to lead a school where there is such a strong tradition of setting high standards for students through rigorous instruction, exemplary programming, and a wide range of diverse opportunities. With such a bold and consistent tradition and commitment to nurturing life-long learners, I am excited to support these efforts, and join the team that makes the magic at Travis!! 

Prior to my role as principal, I have spent my entire career in Dallas ISD as a classroom teacher and administrator leading schools. In my most recent tenure as an assistant principal at Woodrow Wilson High School,  I served students and staff in the IB program as well as in the comprehensive high school track. At every stop of my educational journey, my top priority has always been to ensure each student’s experience is one which enhances their academic, social, and emotional development. Working shoulder to shoulder with team members, I’ve helped establish systems to ensure the pursuit of my highest standard, equity and excellence for all.
